Melissa Bourbon, who sometimes answers to her Latina-by-marriage name Misa Ramirez, gave up teaching middle and high school kids in Northern California to write full-time amidst horses and Longhorns in North Texas. She fantasizes about spending summers writing in quaint, cozy locales, has a love/hate relationship with yoga and chocolate, is devoted to her family, and can’t believe she’s lucky enough to be living the life of her dreams.
Along with Tonya, she co-founded The Naked Hero and The Writer’s Guide to ePublishing. Melissa is the author of the Lola Cruz Mystery series with St. Martin’s Minotaur, A Magical Dressmaking Mystery series with NAL, and The Tricked Out Toolbox with Turquoise Morning Press.
Tonya Kappes is the author of CARPE BEAD ‘EM (May 2011) and THE LADYBUG JINX (July 2011), her debut women’s fiction novels. She’s a High-Class Hillbilly writer with quirky characters and even quirkier situations. She’s also the author of two short stories which can be found in the SOMETHING SPOOKY THIS WAY COMES and the BELIEVE Anthologies. The Tricked Out Toolbox: Promotion and Marketing Tools Every Author Needs, co-authored with the fabulous Misa Ramirez, is her nonfiction debut. Besides being the co-founder of the beyond quirky writer’s grog The Naked Hero and The Writer’s Guide to ePublishing, she’s the princess, queen and jester of her domain which includes her BFF husband, her four teenage boys and two dogs.
